SHIPPING & HANDLING CHARGES
We're not going to lie, our batteries can be very expensive to ship due to the weight involved. Instead of burying the cost into our products we will, at most, charge you actual UPS or FedEx rates plus a small (1 to 5 dollars) handling fee. To determine the shipping and handling charge of your order, add the items you wish to purchase to your shopping cart and click the "Estimate Shipping " button on the shopping cart page. After supplying your shipping location information our shipping and handling charge will be displayed. To change shipping options, use the drop-down box and select a new method of shipping.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
For International shipments, we use FedEx exclusively. You may get an estimate on the shipping cost by using the Estimate Shipping button in the shopping cart. All international orders are subject to fees such as customs brokerage and duties. These charges are not included in the shipping cost and must be paid by the customer at the time of delivery. In addition, we DO NOT accept credit cards for international orders. All international orders must be paid by Electronic Funds Transfer. The details of how to send your payment will be emailed to you once an order has been placed.
FREE SHIPPING
Products that have the Free Shipping logo will be shipped via US Postal Service First Class to any location within the United States (including Alaska and Hawaii) unless ordered with another product that does not display the Free Shipping logo. In that case, they will be shipped together using the service available for the other product. Heavier orders may be shipped via USPS Priority Mail or UPS/FedEx Ground at the discretion of Portable Power Systems.
Flat Rate Shipping
In general, products will be shipped via US Postal Service Priority Mail within the United States (including Alaska and Hawaii) for all orders totaling 2 pounds or less. Orders over 2 pounds that display the Flat Rate option may be shipped via small package commercial carrier ground service but will still be charged the current flat rate price. For faster service, please select a shipping method during checkout and the shipping and handling charge will be provided.
UPS/Fed-Ex By The Pound
We specialize in larger Sealed Lead Acid batteries and ship 100's of pounds of batteries daily. Ground shipping is by far the most economical way to go. We do offer next day and second day air service for faster delivery. Please select your service level during checkout to get current rates. Next Day and Second Day Air orders received prior to 2:00 MST will be shipped the same day. PPS will select either Fed-Ex or UPS as the air delivery carrier unless specifically specified in the special instructions of your order.
Return Policy & Procedure
- There are no restocking fees on returned merchandise.
- All exchanges/returns must be made within 30 days from date of order.
- Freight charges of returned merchandise will be the responsibility of the customer.
- We will cover return and exchange freight charges for exchanges if the wrong merchandise was ordered as a result of an error in our cross reference tables.
- Returns must be 100% complete, in original and resalable condition, with all original packaging, manuals, registration card, software, cabling and accessories. We reserve the right to refuse a return on any product that does not meet these requirements.
- No returns will be accepted without a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number. To request a RMA number, please contact Customer Service.
- Your RMA number must appear clearly on the shipping label of the return shipment.
- We are not responsible for lost, damaged or stolen packages. It is the customers responsibility to choose a shipping method that offers a tracking number and/or insurance on the package.
- Subsequent to receipt of returned items, a credit to your credit card or issuance of a check may take up to 30 days if applicable.
Manufacturers Product Warranty
Products manufactured by Portable Power Systems, Inc. are warranted against defects and workmanship for 1 year beginning from the date of shipment. The customer is responsible for return shipment of the defective product.
Products manufactured by other vendors and resold by Portable Power Systems, Inc. are subject to the manufacturers warranty period which is displayed on the product page within the web site. The customer is responsible for return shipment of the defective product.
Under the warranty period our obligation will be limited to repair or replacement of the product. Such repair or replacement will be made only after our examination determines that said product is defective in material and/or workmanship.
Upon receipt of the defective product and determination that the item meets warranty requirements, Portable Power Systems, Inc. will ship the replacement or repaired item via the carrier we deem to be most cost effective. If a faster shipping method is requested you will be asked to pay the cost of your chosen shipping method minus the cost of our standard shipping method
Product warranty is void if the product has been altered in any way as to affect its use and operation as determined by Portable Power Systems, Inc. The warranty is also void if the product has been subjected to abuse, misuse, negligence or accident.
